Eternity planted in our hearts
“God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart,
but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to
end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11
Words that give life to my soul. Hopeful.
Beautiful. Awe-inspiring words
that explain so much yet leave so much unsaid, unanswered.
I need to believe that God is making everything
beautiful. I see raw and often ugly. But He says that He is at work, working His
plan, in His way, at His rate, in His timing, for His purposes. Always.
And the deep yearning – is it not that “planted eternity”
seeking to make its presence felt, known in the midst of the mundane? Eternity. Planted. In. Hearts.
So true that no matter how long we live, breathing on this
earth, no matter our insights and experiences, the grandeur of God, His magnificence,
His mystery remain enigma to us. We do
not, no, cannot see the full scope of Him or His plan.
Enter Faith.
Simply Believing. Believing
God to be at work, weighing all in the balance of His hands, our hearts forever
resting places for His eternal being.
Justice. Beauty. Eternity.
All restored. And when faith is
no longer necessary, seeing God for who He is.
I pray for greater glimpses of the eternity planted deep
within my heart and the heart of all others that I see and know.
